About Sylvia Wayfer-Clark

“40-40-40” is a unique event for the Atlanta area.  The purpose of the event is to raise money for the Atlanta Children’s Shelter.

While the concept of fundraising isn’t new, “40-40-40” breaks new ground in fundraising events.  Specifically, “40-40-40” stands for 40 weddings & receptions in 40 hours for $40 dollars per bride/groom.  The format is a “Wed-a-thon”, where couples will participate in a formal wedding ceremony and reception with the full compliment of traditions – first dance, cutting of the wedding cake, bouquet toss and more.

“I have always been involved in programs and charities that benefit children, and this event gives me the opportunity to help with our critical need to assist children and families that have suffered misfortunes or from abuse.  At the same time we can help couples experience a wedding to cherish forever, without the expense of today’s typical wedding costs.  It’s a perfect ‘marriage’ of events and I’m so happy to be involved.”
